Institutional Scholarships
A non-exhaustive list of institutions offering scholarships for graduate studies:
CIFRE Scholarships
CIFRE brings together recent graduates, academic institutes, and commercial partners for a joint three year program leading to a doctoral degree. The companies hire students under 3-year contracts providing an annual salary of at least 20,215 euros. During these three years, the student splits their research time between the academic institute and the company according to the rules established in the contract.
The student becomes a link between the industry and academia. Although it is sometimes a delicate position, requiring the student to satisfy the needs of the industrial partner while simultaneously ensuring that the scientific content of their thesis does not suffer thereby, it provides a constant opportunity to learn about new aspects of both the industrial and academic worlds and oneself, and it is a unique professional experience.
The list of CIFRE positions is available on the website of the ARNT: http://www.anrt.asso.fr/index.jsp
