The FMJH: A focal point for the training of research mathematicians

The purpose of the Fondation Mathématiques Jacques Hadamard (FMJH) is to bring together the mathematicians of the Saclay campus in order to form a research community of the highest caliber. Its founding members are the math departments of the CNRS of the ENS-Cachan (CMLA), Université Paris-Sud (LMO Orsay), and the École Polytechnique (CMAPand CMLS), as well as the IHES and the CNRS. The FMJH is also supported by various associate members such as ParisTech, the CEA (IPhT), the INRIA, and EDF. The FMJH is included in the Fondation de Coopération Scientifique of the Saclay plateau.

Located in the heart of a major center for mathematics and engineering, the Fondation Mathématiques Jacques Hadamard (FMJH) concentrates on research in pure and applied mathematics. Scientifically, it aims to promote openness and exchange between mathematics and other disciplines and between mathematics and the commercial sector. At the institutional level, the foundation is focused on international exchange and plans to introduce new collaborations with its partners abroad in order to encourage an attitude of  openness and intellectual mixing between the partner institutions.  In general, the foundation seeks to illustrate the exceptional  vitality of research mathematics through its partnerships with students, businesses, and the international community.
