Founders and Partners

The Fondation Mathématique Jacques Hadamard, a part of the Fondation de Coopération Scientifique of the Paris-Saclay campus, was created by five founding members with the support of several other associate members. The foundation welcomes new partners wishing to participate in the organization and development of the mathematics community on the Saclay campus.

La Fondation de Coopération Scientifique of Paris-Saclay - FCS -

 

The FCS is the overseeing body for operations on the Paris-Saclay campus within the framework of the “Grand Paris” national development project. It brings together the various research institutes, universities, and other organizations that have come together to form one of the very first campuses in France of a truly international scale.

 

Founding members
Université Paris-Sud

The largest higher education and research establishment in the southern Paris region, the Université Paris-Sud is also one of the most prestigious universities in Europe in scientific research. The activities of the university spread across a continuous spectrum from applied fields such as medicine and pharmacy, to theoretical science such as physics. Beyond its scientific scope, the Université Paris-Sud also houses a law school and has programs in economics and management, giving the campus a broad outlook on society.

École Polytechnique

The École Polytechnique is a world class teaching and research establishment with a strong focus on the sciences. It offers specials programs in engineering as well as masters and doctoral programs. At the heart of the École Polytechnique, the Centre de Recherche pushes the frontiers of scientific knowledge and works to create an environment conducive to innovation.

Ecole normale supérieure de Cachan

Scientific research and education are the primary goals of the ENS Cachan. Beyond training the teachers of tomorrow, the ENS also prepares students for careers in high level governmental and commercial positions. The ENS Cachan focuses primarily on disciplines in science and technology as well as management and the social sciences.

Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques

The Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHES) is a high-level research institute focused on mathematics, theoretical physics, and other related fields. Although a private establishment, the IHES has been officially recognized by the French government since 1981 for its importance to the community. It offers scientists of exceptional promise a spot where they can dedicate themselves completely to their research without any teaching or administrative obligations and even bring in other researchers for collaborations.

Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)

The main organization for multidisciplinary research in France, the CNRS conducts research in all scientific, technological, and social domains. Covering the spectrum of scientific research with ten member institutes including the Institut National des Sciences et Mathématiques, it has a presence in all of the major disciplines.
