Objectives and Openings
The pure mathematics "flavor" has a clear objective: to give students extensive knowledge of highly theoretical and more applied aspects of mathematics. Interactive learning via modern IT tools helps illustrate and apply the mathematical methods studied, putting students in real-life situations.
A significant part of this program is devoted to discovering mathematical research via a dissertation.
There are clear openings after this Master's:
- Preparing for the external "Agrégation" examination in mathematics the following year, incorporating the "Agrégation" program and preparation courses offered by Paris-Saclay Faculté des Sciences d'Orsay and the ENS Paris-Saclay (which have proved to be successful).
- Taking an M2 in pure or applied mathematics (a very wide range of options is available on these Master’s programs).
This M1 "flavor" is also taken by ENS ULM students registered at Paris-Saclay.
